How to write a reflective essay? DIEP steps
1. Describe the article you are going to be reflecting on. Do this in the form of a
brief narrative or story. Write in first person.
2. Analyse the article. What was it about the article that made you think? Was
there something about it that challenged your ideas about what you’ve learned?
Or did it reinforce those ideas? How did your experience fit with the literature
and unit learning material that you have read in this Unit?
3. Evaluate. What will you draw from it? Will it lead you to change the way you do
something now or in the future? Will it lead you to change the way you think
