Length: 3,000 to 3,500 words
For this assessment, you must develop a ‘Technology Report’ for business organisations and suppliers. The report needs to assist organisations and suppliers in identifying, developing and implementing a technology to assist in effective and efficient supply chain management.
The focus of this report should be on outlining a strategic approach of the specific technology. The technology should be related to either: the supply chain or B2B ecommerce/e-business and has to be different to the one you presented as part of the weekly topics. It can be from the list of topics, or other technologies you have heard of and want to explore in more depth.
The written work is expected to be in the form of a business report between 3,000 and 3,500 words. No specific structure for the report will be given. However, the key sections to include as part of your report should include:
- An executive summary
- A definition of what the technology is
- How the technology has evolved
- Benefits and challenges of that technology
- A broad overview of implementing the technology and associated risks
- Discussion of a case study related to your chosen technology
- Future directions for the technology
You should draw on at least one case study, or demonstration project, as well as relevant research in developing the guide.
