Okay so the kDa ladder we used was a Molecular Weight Marker. Which was to be transferent to how the molecular weight of known amount can be seen from a protein such as Ovotransferrin.
When Angela was talking to us, she told us that within the Ovotransferrin strip within the Gel Electrophoresis, there is a larger patch found within the molecular weight indicator that is the same as the molecular weight of ovotransferrin
This indicates that there is an amount of ovotransferrin in the sample, however there could be other spots where contaminants at different molecular weights could be found.
