Discuss the company/industry that you propose for your final project and how it relates to the current course. As an example, you could do the following search: Google, “industries needing MIS to improve accuracy in education.” You do not have to focus on education there are many other industries and companies that need improvements.In your final project you will present your understanding of three of the five components of a Management Information System for an existing company/industry: Software, Data, and Network Security. Management information systems (MIS) can be designed to perform a specific function such as order processing or can be built around multiple sub-systems that cover most business functions. The key to building effective management information systems is to understand how a business operates and establish a system that enhances the usability of data and streamlines business processes.In order to begin this final project, you will need to choose a company/industry and research the specific Management Information System of that company/industry and find an area of the company/industry that needs improvement.

• Select a company/industry that you are familiar with or you feel is relevant in today’s business world and where you can research how MIS can improve something.
• Discuss why you have selected that company/industry and provide a brief synopsis of what the company/industry does and how you feel that it will be a good selection for your final project.
• Respond to two students after reviewing their choice of company with your feedback on their choice of company
