How to complete your course
Learner Guide
The Learner Guide contains your learning material and may refer you to other sources of information such
as the internet. Learner Guides may include learning (practice) activities which should be completed to
develop your skills and knowledge prior to attempting the actual assessments. If you have any trouble
completing a learning activity, go back through your Learner Guide and review the learning material relating
to that activity.
Learner Workbook
The learner workbook contains your assessment activities. All assessments must be completed and
submitted for marking. You can type your answers into the PDF document – remember to save the
document before closing! You must also complete the Candidate Details page in each learner workbook.
Also ensure you sign the declaration on this page or your learner workbook will not be accepted.
Completed Assessments
You may submit your completed learner workbook to the training department by email. Ensure to keep a
copy of all submitted work in case of lost emails. Please be advised that once your work has been
submitted and assessed, you will be notified of the outcome by email. Assessment and response times
may be longer over peak submission periods.
Assessment Standards
Presentation of your assessment is important. If you are instructed to complete an assessment where you
have to develop a document, ensure your assessment is typed in the format stated at each task. For
example: essay, report, diagram. Your documents must also include the following:
• A Contents list (if applicable);
• Each section is clearly marked with major heading and /or sub headings;
• Include Referencing where external information is used and reference list;
• A footer containing your full name and page numbers (x of y).
