CASE STUDY
On A Contemporary Computer Crime Committed
Each student is required to read the case study uploaded on Moodle. Based on
the case study, you will write the report on the following topics:
a) brief about the case study and write clearly about the type of crime
b) describe the nature and etiology of the computer crime and its impact on the
business value
The report will be maximum (2500 words)
c) identify detection mechanisms under relevant laws
d)examine legal actions to this crime
e) recommend ICT security processes and policies within the corporate and
business sector to prevent the computer crime in future
f) how do laws like the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) aim to address and deter
these crimes?
g) What measures should be in place for Organizations to encourage corporations to
adopt effective compliance programs and prevent corporate business crimes, and how
do these guidelines impact the sentencing of corporations that commit offenses?
