Critically argue for or against the following:
Is torture ever justified? An analysis of the ‘ticking time bomb’ scenario.

1. Explain what constitutes torture
2. Discuss what is meant by the ‘ticking time bomb (TTB) scenario
3. Argue for and against the use of the ticking time bomb scenario as a justification for the use of torture
4. Conclude whether torture can be justified by relying on the ticking time bomb scenario
