SUPPORTING HEALTHY AGEING

Learning Outcomes 1, Z 3, Sand 10 Learners are asked to compile an assignment which examines the following:

• Research and discuss the Physiological, Psychological and Social aspects of Ageing and how it impacts the Older Person, including the different attitudes to ageing and older people.
• Examine Global and National demographic trends in relation to ageing, including the Ethical and Cultural Influences on the older person.
• Explore the range of services available to older people including Retirement, Leisure, Learning & Education.
• Discuss the role of Statutory and Voluntary Agencies in promoting Positive Attitudes to ageing. Give Recommendations of how these services can be improved to enhance the Quality of Life for the Older Person
