The Entrepreneurial Health Audit
One form of measuring performance is to undertake a Entrepreneurial health audit
This involve three major steps
Step 1 Assessing the Company’s Entrepreneurial Intensity
● This is concerned with two elements the degree and frequency of Entrepreneurship
Degree
● Measures of company’s innovativeness – seeking of creative, unusual or novel solutions,
● risk taking – willing ness to commit significant resources
● pro-activeness – pursuing initiatives in advance of rivals
Frequency
● Involves measuring the number of new products, services and process innovations introduced
over some defined period

Step 2 Diagnosing the climate for CE components
Involves reviewing the five key antecedents
1. Management support
2. Work discretion /autonomy
3. Reinforcement (entrepreneurial behaviour)
4. Time availability evaluation workload to ensure time is available to pursue innovations
5. Organisational boundaries precise expectations are communicated with respect to the
mechanisms for evaluation , selecting and using innovations
