In Week 3, you were asked to choose between one of the following two activities for Learning Cycle 1: Writing:

• Academic Phrases
• Academic Vocabulary

Whether you have chosen Academic Phrases or Academic Vocabulary as your SMART goal in Learning Cycle 1 to help improve your academic writing skills, you are expected to add at least 10 words/phrases to the template provided. These words/phrases could come from the following sources:

• the weekly prescribed/recommended readings in each of your subjects (for Academic Phrases or Academic Vocabulary)
• the sources you have found in the assignment preparation process (for Academic Phrases or Academic Vocabulary)
• the University of Manchester’s Academic Phrasebank (for Academic Phrases only)

Please submit your most up-to-date Academic Phrases or Academic Vocabulary template by the end of Week 4. The submission will count towards your Week 4 LDT attendance.
