After reading, “Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack,” on White Privilege, explain how the ideas presented by McIntosh are still applicable in today’s America. In addition, explain if you think the same holds true for “Male Privilege.”

Please write a one-paragraph response (five-to-seven sentences) using complete sentences and correct grammar and punctuation to answer the following question(s). Use evidence (quotations, paraphrases, and/or summaries) from the texts you read in the module to support your response. Remember to include MLA in-text citations wherever needed.

Choose one set of readings from Module #7: either Wilfred’s Owen’s “Dulce et Decorum Est” AND e.e. cummings’ “next to of course god america I” OR both Danez Smith poems.

If you choose Owen and cummings, answer the following question: Explain how World War I may have influenced the positions and views taken in Owen’s “Dulce et Decorum Est” and cummings’ “next to of course god america I.” Use evidence (quotations, summaries, or paraphrases) from the poems to support your answer. If you choose Smith’s poems, answer the following question: Explain how the Black Lives Matter movement may have influenced the positions and views Smith expresses in “not an elegy for Mike Brown” and “Dinosaurs in the Hood.” Use evidence (quotations, summaries, or paraphrases) from the poems to support your answer. Remember to include in-text citations.
