5. Limitations of Research Discuss the limitations of the study in terms of methodological barriers. You should inform the reader about all possible causes of why your findings might be biased, or how the power of your results could limit the generalizability of your findings. Generalization is a complex process and requires replication; power and respectable sample size; control of error and extraneous variables; and internal and external validity. Provide a full description of how the research process was, and all the problems you encountered with sampling, response rates, survey items, missing values, data collection, and analysis. Explain how you worked these out and give suggestions for mechanisms of control for future investigations.
