Description
Once groups are established by the instructor, each group will come to agreement on a topic of interest and identify an accessible data set to use in a study. Each group will submit an in-depth proposal that provides 1) a rationale for the study/business context, 2) a brief problem statement within the business context, 3) a description of the data set (number of cases as well as a description of variables) and 4) a proposed method of analysis.
To better ensure time and energy is spent in the analysis rather than on data collection, students can use one of the data sets identified on the Data Sets page located in the Resources Module in our Canvas course. If you opt to use an alternate data set, this must be submitted in your in-depth proposal and approved by me. The data set used for this project should have at least 1000 observations/records and a minimum of 10 variables.
