ASE STUDY (40%)Diversity of Older People and Ageing in PlaceFor this assessment you will need to demonstrate your understanding of the diversity of older people and apply what you have learned using the principles of ageing in place, with consideration of the older persons wellbeing and the sustainability of the approach implemented.NOTE: There are four case studies presented in vUWS. You need to answertwo case studiesfor this assessment. Questions for Case Study no. 1 should be answered by everyone. For the second case study, you can choose from case studies 2, 3, or 4. There are two parts for this assignment.Part A:Instructions: Answer the following questions that pertains to the Case Study no. 1 (maximum 250 words for each question).

1. From your understanding about diversity in older people, explain how Mrs O’s case is different in terms of her needs when compared to some older people living with dementia? (250 words).
2. If you are the care coordinator, how will you ensure that Mrs O despite her dementia, is able to age in place? (250 words).

Part B:Instructions: Read and choose your preferred second case study from Case Studies 2, 3 or 4. When you have decided which case study, answer the following tasks?

1. From the case study you have chosen, identify the main issue and link this to at least one principle of ageing in place. (250 words)

2. Do you think that steps/actions implemented and planned as described in the case study will contribute for the older person to successfully and sustainably age in place? Justify your answer using the ageing in place framework. (250 words).
