You have to make a report from which I will create a 8 min video

There is no word limit but please make sure the requirements (1 to 6) are been covered well in the script report

Description/Task Requirement:

This assignment consists of a video report on a change that has occurred (or has been occurring) in the organisation you work for, or an interview with a friend/family member (hereinafter called your partner) on a change he or she is experiencing or has recently experienced in the organisation they work for.

The video recording must be 8 minutes in length maximum. If your recording is less than 8 minutes, you must ensure that the assessment requirements have been covered. At a minimum, you must be in the video, however both you and your partner can feature. You cannot record just your partner delivering all the answers to your questions. Each video recording must be uploaded into the drop box provided on our Cloud Deakin site.

VLOG – Report 1

Your Task

Organisation profile: Identify your organisation (or that of your “partner”), the industry in which it resides, and its core business activity.

A change event: looking retrospectively over the past three months, identify a change your organisation (or you) has initiated. Utilising the models, concepts and tools covered in the unit content, assess the current state of your organisation in reference to the change you have identified (i.e. was the change successful, how has it impacted the organisation, has the change added value and if so, why?. If you do not believe the change was successful then you should discuss this as well, outlining the reasons why you believe this to be the case).

Environmental forces (internal & external; driving and restraining): Using Lewin’s forcefield analysis model (see pdf file in assignment folder accessed from https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTED_06.htm) list and briefly discuss the forces for this change and those against this change, both in the external and internal environments. Score these forces and provide a total score (attach your workings on this template to the assignment). Do you believe the strongest restraining force in the internal and/or external environment was mitigated? If so why?, if not why?

Organisational alignment: Using McKinsey’s 7S model as a guide, discuss which four elements (p133 of your textbook) will need to be in alignment to support the change being proposed. NB these may already be out of alignment and if they are, explain why.

Stakeholders: Use the stakeholder template such as the one found on this interactive screen app at:

Or create your own. Using this map, plot the position within each quadrant of the most important stakeholder groups (or people) remembering that the map is based on interest in the change proposal and degree of power/influence. Attach your map to the assignment. Discuss your rationale for your placement of the important stakeholders relative to this proposed change event (ie. Why did you place each stakeholder in a particular quadrant?).

Change status: Reflect on and briefly discuss the impacts on the organisation regarding culture and operational performance. Why do you think this has happened?
