Dale is a 55-year-old man, whose parents migrated from the Caribbean before he was born. He is Divorced and lives alone in a block of flats owned by county
council in London, Hackney. He has three children, two lives abroad and he rarely sees them. His son lives 25 mins away by train. Dale lived in Portugal for 15
years but returned 3 years ago due to ill health.
Frank smokes 25-40 cigarettes daily, with his first cigarette being on waking. He used to smoke more heavily but has recently cut down. He was diagnosed
with schizophrenia four years ago; he is also type 2 diabetic and suffers from depression. He has recently been discharged from hospital following a relapse.
