• Reference list starts on a new page • Do not number your references — list only, in alphabetical order • References are to be from a range of resources and up to date (the last 10 years) • They must reflect UK nursing in order to make treatment decisions based on the best available evidence. • You are not to use mainly google search, as this will limit your ability provide the level of discussion needed for Level 5. Refer to the library page and database search for nursing literature

How to reference a journal citation order:
• Author (surname followed by initials) • Year of publication (in round brackets) • Title of article (in single quotation marks) • Title of journal (in italics — capitalise first letter of each word in title, except for linking words such as and, of, the, for) Issue information (that is, volume (unbracketed) and, where applicable, part number, month or season (all in round brackets)) • Page reference (if available)
