Assessment requirements
Task Instructions: Write a literature review on your chosen area of professional practice or topic of interest in healthcare using the following structure:
Part B (1500 words)
- Introduction (Approximately 150 words):
- Background and Search Strategy (Approximately 200 words):
Introduce the chosen topic and its relevance to healthcare practice.
Present the significance of registered nurses’ professional responsibility in addressing the chosen topic. Provide an overview of the databases searched, and the key terms used.
3. Critical Analysis of the Chosen Topic (Approximately 1000 words):
Provide background information about your chosen area of professional practice or topic of interest in healthcare. Include a thesis statement or aim and outline the key points that you will be discussing.
Use well-structured paragraphs to present your critical analysis.
Each body paragraph should deal with a different theme that is relevant to your topic. You will need to synthesise several of your reviewed readings into each paragraph so that there is a clear connection between the various sources. You will need to critically analyse each source for how they contribute to the themes you are researching.

The body could include paragraphs on:
- historical background
- methodologies
- previous studies on the topic
- different themes identified in the literature.
- principal questions being asked.
- general conclusions that are being drawn.
4. Conclusion (Approximately 150 words):
Summarise the key findings and arguments presented in the literature review.
Emphasise the importance of registered nurses’ professional responsibility and knowledge in the chosen topic within healthcare practice.
Discuss potential implications and recommendations for future research and nursing practice.

Structure: Literature Review.
Font: Calibri or Times New Roman size 11
Line spacing and alignment: 1.5 or double spacing with left-blocking for paragraphs. Indents are NOT required.
Page numbers: Pages should be numbered
Student identification: Provide your student number in the footer.
Referencing: use CDU APA 7th 2023 referencing. Use peer-reviewed articles with the last 10 years.
