TASK 1

You are required to write a report entitled:

‘Knowledge management in organisational contexts’

It must be presented in TWO (2) sections.

Section1. The scope and purpose of knowledge management in organisational contexts

You are required to investigate the entscope and purpose of knowledge managem in different organisational contexts. The investigation must include reference to theory and practical examples of knowledge management. (AC1.1)

 

Section 2. Models and approaches which underpin knowledge management in organisational contexts

To complete this section of the report you are required to critically appraise a minimum of FOUR (4) models and approaches which underpin knowledge management in organisational contexts. (AC1.2)

THE HUMAN AND CULTURAL DIMENSIONS OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

Knowledge management is not a stand-alone process, it has a human and cultural impact.

The aim of Task 2 is to enable a professional manager and leader to critically appraise the human and cultural dimensions of knowledge management and evaluate its impact on organisational learning.

TASK 2

There are TWO (2) options for completing Task 2.

You are required to produce a report or reflective account entitled:

‘The human and cultural dimensions of knowledge management’

The report or reflective account must include well-chosen examples from an organisation you know well or have researched. The report or reflective account must be presented in TWO (2) sections:

Section 1. A critical appraisal of the human and cultural dimensions of knowledge management. (AC2.1)

To complete this section, you are required to critically appraise a minimum of THREE (3) human and cultural dimensions of knowledge management.

Section 2. An evaluation of the impact of knowledge management on organisational learning. (AC2.2) To complete this section, you are required to evaluate the impact of knowledge management on a minimum of

TWO (2) examples of organisational learning.
