This assessment comprises one 500 word, (+/-10%) individual paper that will contribute towards your final portfolio of 4 papers* and represents 30% of the marks available for this module.

(*Note that CW2 will require you to complete 3 further papers for 70% of the module marks).

1. Obtain and interpret information relevant to an analysis of a firm’s business environment.

2. Assess the impact of government on the structure and operation of a business organisation.

3. Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of changes in the business environment on business organisation and activity.

The Assignment Task:

Present an overview of the Global Business Environment since September 2017 to date for a specific industry (or sector), e.g. airline, retail fashion, men’s grooming etc. **, and relate how changes in the global environment have specifically impacted upon organizations operating in that industry. Identify the underlying driver of the changes relating these to academic theories/models and explain how organizations have responded using examples drawn from real life through applying models and theories to illustrate both structure and content of your work. All models, theories and supporting secondary research material must be referenced using the Harvard format.
