Elaboration Deliverable #1 (Two Parts. Please read entire description)
In the inception phase of our projects, we gathered many user stories to get an understanding of what was required in the project. In the Inception Phase, there was a heavy emphasis on the requirements workflow.
(And the decision of buying vs. building)
As we have decided to build, we now begin the first phase of elaboration, where most of our emphasis will be on the analysis workflow.
As demonstrated in class, write a play demonstrating the operation of your project. Your play must walk through a key path of your application. That is to say, you need to demonstrate what the project will do. Logging in for example, though important, will not demonstrate any key functionality of your project. In this part of the project, you will describe how the features of your application will work if done by humans, instead of a computer. Each human can only do activities related to one task. You must select a cast of characters, assign them roles, and write lines for each character. Your play must be at least 1.5 pages. If you have more than one person in your group, you need 1.5 pages per person.
Hint: Sample Characters (You can invent your own)
Name | Role |
Claudia | Participant #1 (Real Human) |
Diego | Participant #2 (Real Human) |
Gonzalo | File Clerk (In charge of persistent data) |
Patrick | Radio Operator (internal communications) |
Rebecca | Guard (Security) |
Michael | Boss (controller) |
Peter | Calculator (math wizard) |
Judith | Artist (external communications) |
Part 2:
Create two use cases as described in class.
The use cases should be two columns or another ‘fully dressed’ format.
Make sure you have at least one Rainy Day Scenario
