As we have discussed previously in this module, safety has been highlighted as a key aspect for you to work on and to ensure with progress. Your recent promotion has a primary consideration within this old institutional section of the company that has requested your promotion as part of an urgent reshuffle due to huge internal issues, in house disagreements, lack of profits and very little development and lack of any futuristic approach.
Your first step is to prepare a report making propositions as to how you would or could cover the following aspects based on the project you undertook in assignment 1.

Due to your new tasks of organising group meetings you are to explain how you will arrange team meetings, what steps you will incorporate to ensure the effectiveness of these meetings by covering the following-
Effective leadership styles to ensure efficiency, identifying the need for change in management style to ensure this occurs.
The effective and fair management of staff.
Relative techniques for effectively managing a team.
How to manage changes in teams ensuring no reduction in efficiency.
Describe your personal leadership style and critically evaluate its effectiveness.
This step is to outline and structure how you go about ensuring the best team results for everybody from techniques and theories on how to improve presentations and therefore team meetings.
Prepare a chart of concise clear steps that need to be taken to ensure an effective presentation is delivered.
Include important meeting management skills, identifying the needs to have or not have meetings, relevant meeting objectives, the importance of timing and ensuring the desired meeting outcomes.
Explain how to deal with dissent, disillusioned team members and poor team performance by critical evaluation.
Show effective ways to ensure record keeping and feedback to ensure efficiency.
Show examples of effective ways of developing the relationships between sections within a company to improve performance and efficiency.
The next stage of the report is outlined as discussing the context of social responsibility for scientists and engineers in their roles. Outline the following important areas.

The key aspects of mentoring as in the correct approach, how to select one, how to mentor them yourself ensuring the balance of experience and enthusiasm.
Produce suggestions for your own areas of mentoring skills and supply reasons for their choices.
Analyse in your profession, ethical standards for individuals and organisations. Identifying patterns of behaviour that lead to improvements in behaviour and patterns that lead to a decline or a failure of professionalism, both individual and corporate.
The final stage of your report is to explore the ways which you will incorporate to engage in continuing professional development by covering –
Ways of being active and up to date with social responsibilities within the engineering profession.
Ways of being efficient and important ways of staying up to date.
An outline of the benefits of keeping a lifelong professional log.
The importance of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in keeping up to date.
Lifelong learning, defining what it means on a personal level and the importance of the correct attitude.
The correct attitudes within the profession to new developments and discoveries by evaluating and showing justifications.
