The assignment for this module consists of a PORTFOLIO, made up of 4 TASKS.
• Task 1 (Week 2, 20%): Practical coding task on Data Science for Cyber Security • Task 2 (Week 4, 20%): Practical coding task on Machine Learning for Cyber Security • Task 3 (Week 6, 30%): Practical research task on Security Data Analytics • Task 4 (Week 9, 30%): Video overview of your portfolio

The assignment will address the following module learning
outcomes:
• M01: Understand and critically assess the role of a cyber security analyst, the tools and techniques deployed in industry, and the requirements of the role. • MO2: Analyse, assess and protect systems in a controlled virtualised environment through cyber security simulation and incident response. • M03: Critically evaluate the current state-of-the-art, including big data analysis and machine learning techniques, to assess the strengths and weaknesses of current methods. • M04: Demonstrate practical skills that address a clear career path into cyber security, including systems configuration, programming skills, data processing, and contextualisation of threats.
