DARJEN BALLAJ 28
15
An excellent work would include: •A reflection of specific business
decisions made in the BSG and justification for such decisions. •Result
of decisions made, with evidence for each of the years – this should be
screenshots of BSG results. •Lessons learnt •Theoretical frameworks
that were relevant to areas of decisions made – internally (e.g. finance
matters, staffing matters, etc); external (e.g. economic situations in each
of the regions, political situations, etc) and competitive (e.g. consumer
preferences, competitor efforts, material sourcing, etc)? Suitable
frameworks should include STEEPLED/PESTEL; SWOT; Porter’s Five
Forces; Mckensey 7s; Porter’s Value Chain; VRIO; Stakeholder Matrix; etc.
Diagrams may enhance the presentation quality but application is more
important at level 6. An excellent work will take advantage of answers
provided to include intext citations.
TASK 2 (30MARKS)
An excellent work would: •Demonstrate understanding and awareness
of what emerging technologies are by defining and providing examples
of a range of emerging technologies which may be relevant to the
nature of the BSG company’s business. •Identify ONE SPECIFIC emerging
technology relevant to the BSG company’s present or future operations;
and critically evaluate its impact on the activities of the organization
(these must be discussed rather than being simply presented as bullet
points or in simple tabular form). Critical evaluation should include
both pros and cons of such emerging technology identified. •Present
useful recommendations that future senior managers could consider –
these may either be in order to take advantage of opportunities from
the positive impact the emerging technology identified OR address
Much more effort needs to be put in. The word
count is low, with no screenshots, and little
analysis. Some theories were just listed with no
analysis eg….7 S theory
challenges presented by the negative impact identified. An excellent
work will take advantage of answers provided to include intext citations.

summary, main body and conclusion sections •Present a writing with
