ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
This task requires you to first select one organisation from the FTSE 250 index excluding those companies listed in Table 1.
NOTE THAT, exceptionally, you may, by express agreement with your tutor, select an organisation you work for.
You are then required to write a professional business report addressing the task(s).
Task 1
Carry out an assessment of your selected organisation using a relevant tool (e.g., SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces, etc.) and based on the outcome, propose and justify two innovations that can be adopted to address an identified weakness and an identified threat faced by the organisation; i.e. one innovation should address a weakness and the other should address a threat.
Task 2
Produce the work to a high standard of presentation and academic or professional conventions.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Your business report requires academic theory (as discussed in the weekly class seminars) to underpin your discussions and you are expected to demonstrate your critical thinking and insight as well as:
- the ability to analyse, critically evaluate and explore different innovation and entrepreneurship theories
- demonstrate clear analysis, application and critique of your chosen innovation and/or organisational entrepreneurship and discuss how these might influence adoption of the innovation
- knowledge and understanding of the different factors that can, and do, impact upon organisational entrepreneurship and innovation adoption and organisational performance consequent to such entrepreneurship and innovation adoption
