You have commenced employment as a health and safety advisor. You have been given an occupational exposure assessment report for daily welding tasks undertaken on-site. A summary of this data is attached. Your project brief is to review the current controls in place and recommend the appropriate controls to ensure the risk are adequately controlled. The operator undertakes daily TIG stainless Steel welding tasks throughout the day. The worker also stainless steel components with an angle grinder and polishes completed welds with scotch brite polishing wheels. The cutting and polishing processes can create metallic airborne dust.
