To budget for the items to be ordered, SMUSA’s Finance Secretary has asked you for an es mate of the total number of each item that must be purchased. By adop ng the MRP methodology without me phasing, determine the total number each item required in total to fulfil the demand for goodie bags. A lot-for-lot (L4L) ordering rule may be assumed for all items.

By considering me phasing, develop the full MRP tables for each component and subcomponent for the 10 working days from 6th November to 17th November 2023. Your MRP must avoid placing excessively large orders or holding unnecessary inventories. L4L may be assumed for all items, except
chrysanthemum tea which much be ordered using FOQ24 (since 24 packets correspond to one carton). What is the earliest date that the first orders must be placed for any item in the goodie bag?

Due to a delay in the approval of the budget by SMUSA’s Execu ve Commi@ee, the first orders to suppliers for any of the items could only be placed at the beginning of 1st November. What is the impact on the fulfilment for the goodie bags across the 10 days that they are supposed to be distributed? Show the impact via a set of revised MRP tables.
