Identify two nursing problems written using PES and write nursing goals (Guidance) — Approx. 250 • You must identify the two nursing problems from doing a comprehensive assessment. If you have not completed a full patient assessment then you cannot provide justification for the two identified nursing problems. • You must ensure that these are nursing problems and not medical problems • You must ensure that your chosen problems are prioritised. You must demonstrate critical thinking in maintaining patient’s safety. • Following the identification of two nursing problems you must then discuss the nursing goals for each problem using SMART. This section links to LO2 and LO3 Critically analyse the Nursing interventions for each identified nursing problem (Guidance) — Approx. 1500 (750 for each problem) This section is linked to L01, LO3 and LO4 • Critically analyse the nursing interventions / care for each nursing problem. This section must be underpinned by published guidelines / literature, that reflect UK nursing and the supportive references must be up to date, and relevant. For example, an article from 2000 on the treatment of asthma will be out of date. References must be from the last 10 years to be used and UK based when addressing management • Clinical guidelines addressed to support interventions must not be older than 5 years. National guidelines are reviewed every three years. • The critical analysis of this section is important because you must demonstrate ability to write at level 5, therefore you must engage with the relevant literature and do not solely rely on Google search. • You must ensure your chosen resources and evidence to support discussions are relevant to your practice. • You must ensure chosen evidences are current and relevant to your practice in UK. • All care must discuss the role of nurse in providing care that managed the nursing problems (Use the 3rd person not ‘1’). • Evaluate Care, and Conclusion— Approx. 250 words (Guidance)
