What is needed to be done–  Choose the hospitality and tourism organization. The report should include the following-

Introduction

Examining the main benefits of the on-going professional development for various stakeholders in the chosen organisation.

Investigating and evaluating of the professional employer expectations of the skills and competencies in the chosen organisation in relation to the managerial position.

  1. Assessing and evaluating the self-abilities, skills, and competences in relation to the managerial position by use of   SWOT analysis and identifying the team
  2. Review of the range of learning theories and approaches which you may for the personal and professional development.
  3. Critically evaluating of the self-skills and competencies for meeting   employer expectation of the professional skills needed for employment in chosen organisation.
  4. Conclusion

Submission will be done in form of the professional development plan.

What you need to do- Continue with same tourism/hospitality organisation you have opted for the 1. You are required for   undertaking the job interview for the managerial position.  The professional development must include following-

  1. A suitable format of the professional development plan
  2. Construction of the comprehensive development plan for enhancing the chosen skills and competencies for the managerial position. Plan must set out the clear and achievable targets, strategies and outcomes of learning and training for a managerial position. Plan also applies the learning and development theory.
  3. Undertaking the job interview for a managerial position in the selected hospitality organisation. (Note: Briefly write up interview findings)
  4. Production of the detailed, coherent, and critical reflection of interview process and self-abilities during the process. (It is based on interview you have taken in class for the role of the tourism/hospitality organisation).
