Dear applicant,
Please prepare a short presentation to the following task.
Situation:
– We perform regular spot checks during serial production to confirm stable quality and confirmation with standards.
– During one of these tests it was discovered that in the packaging material for one of our products the value for SCCP
(Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffin) was measured as 0,1785mass%.
– This value obviously exceeds the threshold (0,15mass%) of the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and
Restriction of Chemicals) regulations.
– The packaging with this SCCP content is exclusively used with this particular product.
– The affected product is sold European-wide.
Value flow of the packaging in scope: packaging supplier – product supplier – KK International distribution center in
Poland –– customers.
– A SCCP value above threshold is considered a “critical” (K = critical).
– For every K-failure a set of containment actions has to be worked out and be presented to upper management.
