The unit applies to individuals who manage people. It covers work allocation and the methods to review performance, reward excellence and
provide feedback. The unit makes the link between performance management and performance development and reinforces both functions
as a key requirement for effective managers.

Assessment Task 1: | This is a written assessment that will test student’s knowledge. This assessment may be completed ov duration of the training days. As the students learn, practice and review knowledge and skills, students keep Assessment Task 1 in front of them and answer the questions as the information becomes cleare the beginning of each review session students will be given a few minutes to familiarise themselves w questions. Students will be given extra time at the end of the day to complete this assessment or to cla facts with the Trainer/Assessor |
Assessment Task 2: | Section 1: This task will require you to conduct training needs analysis for at least four members of a team. Section 2: This task will require you to: Provide opportunities for each member of the team from Workplace Project Task 2: Section 1 to co self-evaluation on their performance Meet with the individual members and team from Workplace Project Task 2: Section 1 to develop le plans |
Assessment Task 3: | Section 1: This task will require you to make the necessary arrangements to facilitate the implementation of the learning opportunities identi¦ed in Workplace Project Task 2: Section 2. Section 2: This task will require you to monitor the implemented learning plan then seek and provide feedback wit same team from Workplace Project Task 2: Section 2. |
Assessment Task 4: | This task will require you to create a report on the competency of the team and individual after comple the implementation of each learning plan. |
Competency Decision |
Student must satisfactorily complete each assessment tasks to be Competent (C) in the unit. Student unsatisfactory completion of any of the assignment tasks will be deemed Not Yet Competent (NYC). |
