Rationale
The purpose of this assessment is to demonstrate your understanding and application of the career development theories and career development models.
Task Description
This assessment requires you to consider your current view of your career, apply your understanding of career management theories and use a career
development model.
1. Provide a brief overview of your work experience to date.
2. Thinking ahead to your future career, choose one career development theory (from module 1-Trait/Lifespan/TWA/Social Cognitive Theory/Theory of Career
Choice/Chaos Theory of career) will you be applying to your career. Apply the theory to your career.
3. Reflect on your personal career situation using one of the career development models (from module 2 – DOTS or Career Flow Model). Apply the model to your
career.
Make sure you use topic headings (Work experience, career development theory, career development models) in your discussions.
