you may utilise the relevant learning resources related to this assessment.
The questions within this assessment relate directly to the integrated knowledge
contained within the unit of competencies an
knowledge and performance evidence. Use of correct grammar and spelling is
required to demonstrate foundation skills, so please ensure to proofread your
answers prior to submission.
You may have up to three (3) attempts to be deemed Satisfactory outcome with
this assessment.
Failure to receive the Satisfactory outcome after the three (3) attempts, the
result for the unit will be deemed Not Yet Satisfactory, and you must re-enroll
and repeat the unit to be eligible to be assessed again.

Scenario 1
It is 08:00am and your first client shows up at the SCEI Pathology Collection Clinic.
They have English as their second language and you realise immediately that there is a communication
barrier. This client needs to commence their GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test), but before anything else, pretest criteria and identification must take place.
Pre-test criteria includes fasting time, any allergies and current medications.
Task: Provide a response to the following:
1. How can the Pathology Collector use verbal and non-verbal communication o:

A 52-year-old client presents with chest pain and shortness of breath to his doctor at 10:00am. His doctor
requests for an urgent ECG and Cardiac Enzymes test (results to be delivered by midday) but your waiting
