The soft drinks production industry in the United Kingdom which has a market size of over £5 billion (in 2019) according to the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA) which represents UK producers, is experiencing significant changes caused by macro environmental factors such as the impact of regulations and social issues steering needs to improve the dietary health of the nation as a shared responsibility. 

You are appointed as a senior market analyst to understand, analyse and critically review the industry.

The assessment requires you to:

1) Carry out for the UK soft drinks production industry

(i) a PESTEL analysis

(ii) Porter’s five forces analysis and an

(iii) evaluation of the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility to organizations in the industry. What do you conclude? Critically discuss and evaluate your findings.
