Academic Integrity & Assessment Policy
While studying at UTS College you are expected to maintain high standards of academic honesty and
integrity. You will be penalised if you seek to gain unfair advantage by copying another student’s work, or in
any way misleading a lecturer or tutor about your knowledge, ability or the amount of original work you
have done or assist other students to do so.
When you submit your assessment, you agree to the following statement of academic integrity:
The work contained in this assessment item is my own work. Where I have copied, quoted,
summarized, or paraphrased the ideas, opinions, research or work of other people or organizations,
this has been acknowledged appropriately (to APA7 referencing style conventions).
I have not submitted this work for any previous assessment task.
I understand that, should this statement be found to be untrue, disciplinary action could be taken and
penalties imposed in accordance with UTS College’s Academic Integrity Policy.
NOTE: If you are unsure about making this statement, speak with your teacher or our HELPS
team.
